What should I expect from the Colour My Palate sessions?

First time with a dietitian?

Throughout these sessions, you will be able to learn new tips & tricks to improving your food choices & eating habits, adapted to your personal needs and preferences!

What is a registered dietitian? And how is it different from a nutritionist?

In a nutshell, every dietitian is a nutritionist, but not every nutritionist is a dietitian!

To be more specific, “a dietitian (RD or PDt) is a regulated health professional who is passionate about the potential of food to enhance lives and improve health. Dietitians translate the science of nutrition into terms you can understand, without fads or gimmicks. They collaborate with you to embrace food, to understand it, and to enjoy it.“

Registered Dietitians must complete the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with coursework approved by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics

  • Complete 1200+ hours of an accredited dietetic internship

  • Pass a national RDN board exam by the Commission on Dietetic Registration

  • Maintain registration
